Reston, VA., October 31st, 2005 - Communication Arts, the leading trade journal for visual communications, has featured Cochlear (www.cochlearamericas.com), a Web site designed by Siteworx as its Site of the Week. Recognition is for a combination of exceptional design, usability and technical expertise and is featured on their Web site www.designinteract.com/sow.

Cochlear is a leader in hearing loss implant technology. The Web site's goal is to provide the choices available to candidates as well as support existing recipients. Siteworx Creative Director Rand Kramer and DLC Solutions Producer Ezra Wolf collaborated on the redesign.

"Originally Cochlear was a highly technical and content heavy site. Our aim was to create a warm, consumer friendly site that increased brand awareness. We showed the positive aspects and real-life benefits of what Cochlear implants can do for you," commented Pat Kelley, Siteworx art director.

Adelle Emery, Siteworx Director of Customer Experience, remarked "We segmented the Web site into appropriate user groups to address their needs and speak to them directly. It was important to create a community where real people could share their stories."

The results of Siteworx's efforts lead to an inviting, sympathetic information platform with clear navigation. Siteworx created a Web site that integrated communication, design and technology. A personal tone was established by using subtle graphic touches in the user-friendly navigational interface. Siteworx once again demonstrated the influence of powerful communications.
